Bonjour and Bienvenue, friends, family, & beautiful strangers of the world, Do you ever wonder what it is you're meant to do with your life? Do you ever dream about what actions you must take to do something that is seen as worthwhile? Do you ever wonder what constitutes goodwill? Do you know what makes you the happiest?
I ask myself these questions as I fly across continents - and I ponder them when I first open my eyes in the morning as I brew a fresh cup of coffee. They're ever present at this moment in time, as I sit alone in a dark, unfamiliar room. The deep hum of the air-conditioner drowns out the busy sounds of Charles Street five stories down, minus the horns of the impatient taxi drivers. The blinds of the window trap the New York summer heat from polluting my bedroom. I feel exhausted in a city that never sleeps, but I also feel stimulated and eager to be back in this buzzing, worldly destination.
I am elated to be back in New York, a city of infinite wonders and a home that combats my innate desire to travel the world. At times, I am almost ready for a business card that reads professional, expert, advanced rather than nomad and root myself amongst the world's most creative and talented human beings. Almost ready, but not quite. But I do feel compelled to utilize my remarkably transforming around the globe experience in a non-boastful way - so that is exactly why we are here now.
My uncertainty of life's purpose is a blessing, this I acknowledge. "Finding out what you want is a part of the journey that you are on," my father has consoled me.
For now, in this dark, tired room I'm motivated for answers - let us share the secrets of living a fulfilled life, one of friendship, laughter, travel, and inspiration.
Let our minds be free and open and constantly wandering.
